Day out for Bazeley Racing

May 20, 2013

We enjoyed a great day at the office at yesterday's meeting in Kalgoorlie. With only 7 runners (one in each race) we had only one runner not finish in the first 3. We got off to a flyer with new addition Aconcagua norrowly winning over the short priced favourite. Congratulations to the Lynward Park Stud syndicate on there win. After enjoying a lovely run from the box seat he dug deep to win.

In race 2 You watching me put in his best run to date just getting pipped the last stride after kicking away in the straight. He finished second. Misty had high praise for this horse and expects more improvement from him as he matures.

Race 3 saw Viking run 5th. There was more merit in his run than looking where he finished as the race wasn't run to suit him.

Wild Champange ran an eye catching second in a higher grade race. He settled near the rear with hot pace in race 4 he made a run through the pack to go down by a length and a 1/4.

Race 5 saw I'm Easy go down a length and a 1/4 finishing 3rd after a luckless run from a wide barrier. He got out of the ground late and flashed home.

In the Mood proved shes no speedy squib by winning the 6th race impressively.

The last saw Toss'n'spin having his first start for us this preparation. He worked hard throughout the race not having much of a rest in the middle stages. He kicked clear in the straight and finished a real gutsy 2nd to a much fitter horse.

All in all a really positive day with all our horses holding there own.
