Aaron Bazeley
Aaron’s training style is to ensure his horses are at optimum peak fitness keeping them in the happiest frame of mind possible. To do this Aaron likes to mix up their training to suit each individual horses needs.
Aaron was a jockey before he became a trainer. He has always loved horses and when he became too heavy for riding he naturally progressed to training to continue working with the thoroughbred as he felt this was a good way to stay involved in the racing game.
“What I like about training is the challenge, getting a horse to perform at their very best and keep racing consistently. Overcoming setbacks and getting them to win, also seeing the incredible thrill the owners get is very satisfying.” – Aaron Bazeley
Aarons career highlights include winning metro Saturday in Belmont with castoff Matador also listed placed twice for Aaron including the Hannans and the Coolgardie Cup. Secchio hadn’t won for 3 years when Aaron got him and he won 4 times (including a Saturday metro) in the space of 5 weeks, 3 of the 4 wins were in 13 days. Taking an out of form horse, Brigalow from class one status to open class by winning six races in 3 months. Jashar Boy was another class one horse to graduate with us to reach open class and place in a Hannans Handicap (by a neck) in 5 months. The Hannans Handicap is the richest provincial sprint in Western Australia.
Aaron’s attention to detail, professional approach to his work and clients, love of racing, success with his horses and working as a family business is what keeps him motivated and he will continue to work with the thoroughbred for many years to come.

Testimonials
Having been involved with horse ownership, trainers and jockeys over many years, I must say that Aaron Bazeley is a standout trainer. He certainly knows what is going on with his team and operation. I think that because he himself was a jockey, and that his wife Misty, does all the trackwork and riding is a major plus that should not be overlooked when choosing a stable for your next horse acquisition. As with anything in life, surround yourself by the best people, and the results will take care of themselves.
Rino and Teresa Borromei – Kalgoorlie.
While I have known Aaron and Misty for many years, I have only been involved within their stable over the last 3 years.
While I have been lucky enough to have won several races in the Bazeley colours, it’s the level of professionalism amongst the Trainer, Jockey and staff that most impresses me. Owners always are welcomed down to the stables and if you are lucky enough there might even be a good cold beer in the fridge! Keep up the good work Baze.
